Brad and Black-Headed Python At Camp Turner

Location: Camp Turner Mining Construction Camp, Pilbara Region, Western Australia

Formwork Carpenter Brad catches one of the numerous snakes hanging around Camp Turner Mining Construction Camp. While this Black-Headed Python is non-venomous, venomous snakes such as King Browns and Death Adders have also been spotted.

Brad (a snake lover and experienced snake handler) also informed us that King Brown snakes are not necessarily brown in color. Brad also mentioned that you should never pick up a Death-Adder by the tail because unlike other snakes, the Death-Adder can still bite you.

Brad developed a love for snakes in hospital while recovering from a venomous snake-bite.
